The Shanghai Bund Bull sculpture is a derivative of the renowned sculptor Arturo Di Modica’s “Wall Street Bull.” The sculpture was installed in late April 2010 and officially unveiled on the Bund on May 15. Compared to the New York version, the Shanghai Bull sculpture has slightly different dimensions. It measures 17.1 feet (5.2 meters) long, 10.5 feet (3.2 meters) tall, and weighs 13,227.74 pounds (6,000 kilograms).
Notably, the Shanghai Bull is a vibrant red, a nod to China, the country that commissioned the sculpture. Unlike the New York version, which leans to the left, the Shanghai Bull leans to the right, and its tail is more menacing.
