Mule Deer Sculpture Detail:
These three bronze male mule deer sculptures are located at Cabela’s in Kansas City. While each differs in posture, form, and intricate detail, together they exhibit a rich sense of individuality and overall harmony.

Their antlers—broad, profusely branched, and highly symmetrical—convey the majestic presence characteristic of the male mule deer. The musculature of each buck’s body appears taut and defined—particularly across the shoulders and legs—while the texture of their coats is rendered with exquisite precision through the bronze casting, effectively conveying a palpable sense of strength.

Characteristics of the Mule Deer:
The mule deer derives its name from its large, mule-like ears. Furthermore, the males possess well-developed antlers that are shed and regrown annually. Mule deer are characterized by their robust physiques and distinct facial profiles. Their identity as mule deer is further confirmed by their broad, extensively branched antlers, which notably lack the “palmate” (palm-like) structures found in other deer species. These specific characteristics collectively distinguish them from the white-tailed deer.

Feedback from Customers:
These are three bronze deer sculptures we cast for a client in Norway; the sculptures are situated in a park and have been specially illuminated with lighting. We also cast the same style of bronze deer sculptures—albeit in a slightly smaller size—for a client at the Buckhorn RV Park and Resort in Salt Lake City. Although the placement differs, the sculptures blend in just as harmoniously with their surroundings.
